πŸ§€πŸ Cheesy Ravioli Lasagna Bake

A super easy American-style comfort food made with cheese ravioli, seasoned ground beef, marinara sauce, and lots of melted mozzarella. Perfect for a viral Facebook recipe post!

πŸ›’ Ingredients

Serves 6–8

  • 2 packages (about 24 oz each) refrigerated or frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Β½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Β½ tsp salt
  • Β½ tsp black pepper
  • Β½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, if needed
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, parsley, or basil

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Instructions

1. Cook the beef
Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onion. Cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking the beef apart until browned.

Drain excess grease.

Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 30–60 seconds.

2. Add the sauce
Pour the marinara sauce into the skillet with the beef. Stir well and simmer for 3–5 minutes.

3. Prepare the ravioli
If using refrigerated ravioli, you can layer them directly.

If using frozen ravioli, follow the package directions or briefly boil until just tender. Don’t overcook them because they’ll continue cooking in the oven.

4. Build the casserole
Lightly grease a 9Γ—13-inch baking dish.

Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce over the bottom.

Add a layer of cheese ravioli.

Spoon more meat sauce over the ravioli.

Sprinkle with mozzarella and a little Parmesan.

Repeat the layers until everything is used, finishing with meat sauce + plenty of mozzarella + Parmesan on top.

5. Bake πŸ”₯
Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and golden brown.

For extra browning, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching carefully.

6. Rest & serve
Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil.

⭐ Pro Tips

  • Use whole-milk mozzarella for the best cheese pull.
  • Don’t add too much sauce between layersβ€”the ravioli already contains cheese and moisture.
  • Let it rest before serving so the layers hold together.
  • Add cooked Italian sausage instead of beef for a richer version.
  • For a spicy version, add Β½ tsp red pepper flakes to the sauce.
