Ingredients
For the Peach Filling
6–7 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt
For the Topping
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Add the sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to a large bowl. Toss until the peaches are evenly coated, then transfer them to the baking dish.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and stir until just combined.
Pour the batter evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.
Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling around the edges.
